Amy Livermore Charter Recovery Housing

Amy Livermore

Team Leader

Amy joined Charter Recovery Housing in March 2026, bringing with her a strong background in recovery services and frontline support.

Before joining Charter, Amy worked within the Northumberland Assertive Outreach Team and as a Recovery Navigator for Northumberland Recovery Partnership (NRP). Prior to moving into the recovery sector, she worked for the North East Ambulance Service, where she finished her time there as an Investigations Officer.

Having lived experience of recovery herself, Amy brings a genuine understanding of the challenges residents can face. She is passionate about helping people navigate their own recovery journey and recognise that a fulfilling, contented life is possible without relying on substances to change how they feel or cope with difficult situations.

Amy’s aim is to help residents build hope, confidence and a sense of possibility for the future, drawing on both her professional experience and her own recovery journey.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her three dogs, going for walks and being outdoors. She also enjoys reading, watching films and spending time with friends. Staying connected to recovery remains an important part of her life, and she regularly attends meetings.
