Angela originally started her connection with Charter Housing and Supporting Lives as a volunteer and became employed within the service in October 2024. She qualified as a Social Worker in 1996 and continues to be registered with the regulatory body of Social Work England.
Angela has practised across many areas of social work; voluntary, private and statutory sectors. I have had the opportunity to work alongside children, families and vulnerable adults in safeguarding and support services. She is experienced in providing support for people who are experiencing multiple disadvantages including mental health difficulties, homelessness, substance misuse and addiction, disconnection through traumatic events such as family and relationship separation.
She has worked in the fostering, adoption and post adoption services, supporting birth parents with loss, disconnection and issues in relation to maintaining contact. Alison is passionate about professionally supporting individuals and families to grow meaningful relationships.
