Marie began volunteering for Charter Recovery Housing in September 2023 and after 8 months she was employed in May 2024. Marie had previously volunteered at Northumberland Recovery Partnership (NRP). She has a Level 3 Health and Social Care Diploma.
“I would love to make a change in people’s lives, giving them the hope of recovery. I would like to give addicts and alcoholics the ability to feel a sense of wellbeing in their lives, to show them the tools for recovery and how to deal with life’s challenges. I enjoy being able to help recovering addicts and alcoholics find a purpose in their own lives and to support them to value their own self-worth.”
Marie enjoys walking her dog, going on holiday and spending time with family and friends.
